May’s THEME:

Mystical Swamp

MAIL TO Host anytime: As long as I receive it before I start swapping I will accept the cards. Check the discord server for swapping status or message me directly on instagram to find out.

Requirements: As always our normal standards apply of original 2.5 x 3.5 inch original hand drawn/colored/painted cards in your best efforts. I swap cards around based on composition, detail, and final execution. Empty backgrounds or people/objects with solid color for background is discouraged, please try for more. This community is made fabulous by everyone trying their best and being supportive and encouraging of each other’s growth.

THEME REQUIREMENTS: What could be more mysterious then a swamp? I imagine all sorts of mystical and magical things could happen there. So your card’s setting must be in a swamp and EVERY card must have a character or creature, the character doesn’t have to be a big part of the card, even if its small as long as you sneak one in there somewhere. 

Please keep in mind that swamp cards are better portrayed above the water so you can include all those elements that will immediately make the viewer think “swamp” – making it underwater would be harder to come across as “swamp”. I would be unlikely to turn those away but please do try to make sure that the swamp setting is very obvious.

If it fine to use “real photography” of swamps as references for your cards if you want. I bet you could even find examples around the net on how to draw things like vines, ferns, weeds, rotting trees, water plants/trees, other vegetation, water surfaces, reflections, misty air, there are all sorts of things that come to mind when you imagine swamp. Be creative have fun and breathe in that damp hot swampy air!!
