ATCitupwithfriends: December 2021 – Items

Timeline and General info:

MAIL TO Host anytime: Aim for the end of January but this theme will remain open to accepting late cards as long as I receive it before I start swapping. DM me anytime to ask (yes even if its been a few months. Currently we are still playing catch up on swapping and mailing back out 2021 envelopes. 

Requirements: As always our normal standards apply of original 2.5 x 3.5 inch original hand drawn/colored/painted cards in your best efforts. I swap cards around based on composition, detail, and final execution. Empty backgrounds or people/objects with solid color for background, or head only cards are discouraged, please try for more. This community is made fabulous by everyone trying their best and being supportive and encouraging of each other’s growth.

December’s THEME:

Items

THEME REQUIREMENTS:  Your cards MUST contain an Item, the card MUST have a decorative border of any time so it is more like a playing card. If you would like to put a text box at the bottom of the card like role playing game cards – please not bigger then 1/4th of the card, do NOT make the text block half of the card. As we are a group focused on illustration most of the card should be your actual illustration of your item (and any background you want to include). Any other details you want to share about the item you are welcome to write it on the back of your card. Items can be anything of your choosing. Fantasy, Sci-fi, Mundane whatever you’d like but please try to make them creative and interesting so that other members are also excited to receive them. 

If you are curious as to what game cards look like just go to Pinterest and type in “dungeons and dragons cards” or “magic the gathering cards” and it will show you plenty of card examples.

These monthly themes are intended as a CHALLENGE as well as a way to trade fabulous original art and bond our little art community. Please rise to the challenge and treat your fellow artists with respect by putting in your best efforts. If you are unwilling to put forth true effort then please do not apply to join!
