Timeline and General info:
MAIL TO Host by: August 31, 2023 (Currently it is July 5th when this blog post went live. I haven’t been announcing themes since February as I’ve been having issues with my website and was just relaying themes via our discord and the live streams so the due date for March thru July themes have been extended)
Requirements: As always our normal standards apply of original 2.5 x 3.5 inch original hand drawn/colored/painted cards in your best efforts. I swap cards around based on composition, detail, and final execution. Empty backgrounds or people/objects with solid color for background, or head only cards are discouraged, please try for more. This community is made fabulous by everyone trying their best and being supportive and encouraging of each other’s growth.
May & June’s THEME:
Storefronts
It’s time for another architecture type theme so this time stretch your skills and draw different types of storefronts. This theme was inspired by the beautiful Japanese storefronts. However you can draw any type of storefront that you would like as long as it is the outside of some sort of business, this is not a closeup of the business showing the inside. We are focusing on the exterior. Please be sure you include elements on the outside of the store that make it more interesting. Please do not just draw the outside of a plain building. You can use real photo references or you can create your own imaginary store. Any type of theme is fine, fantasy, sci-fi, or real any theme you’d like is fine. There is no character required for this theme.

These monthly themes are intended as a CHALLENGE as well as a way to trade fabulous original art and bond our little art community. Please rise to the challenge and treat your fellow artists with respect by putting in your best efforts. If you are unwilling to put forth true effort then please do not apply to join!
