Requirements: 3 or 4 hand drawn art cards – As always our normal standards apply of original 2.5 x 3.5 inch original hand drawn/colored/painted cards in your best efforts. I swap cards around based on composition, detail, and final execution. Empty backgrounds or people/objects with solid color for background, or head only cards are discouraged, please try for more. This community is made fabulous by everyone trying their best and being supportive and encouraging of each other’s growth.

November’s THEME:

Kaiju (Colossus)

THEME REQUIREMENTS: This month EVERY card must have a creature or monster that shows it is HUGE and everything else is small.

This theme is inspired by those old B horror movies with giant monsters called Kaiju that terrorize human cities destroying much in their path. They are commonly scene in old Japanese tv shows/films and anime. However, you DO NOT have to make those types of creatures. Yours can be any kind of creature or monster you would like. It also doesn’t have to be terrorizing a city, you just have to put it in a setting that shows it is extremely large compared to what would normally be large. For example we all assume mice are small and elephants are big. So if you showed your huge monster near a tiny house/elephant/tree – those are just examples so you get the point of this theme.

Please try your best on these to give that sense of big and small. If you have any questions at all reach out to me or share your work in our discord WIP channel for feedback. We all love seeing each other’s process.

These monthly themes are intended as a CHALLENGE as well as a way to trade fabulous original art and bond our little art community. Please rise to the challenge and treat your fellow artists with respect by putting in your best efforts. If you are unwilling to put forth true effort then please do not apply to join!
