ATCitupwithfriends: October 2023 – Spooky & Dec 2023 – Winter

Timeline and General info:

MAIL TO Host by: November 15!

Requirements: 3 or 4 hand drawn art cards – As always our normal standards apply of original 2.5 x 3.5 inch original hand drawn/colored/painted cards in your best efforts. I swap cards around based on composition, detail, and final execution. Empty backgrounds or people/objects with solid color for background, or head only cards are discouraged, please try for more. This community is made fabulous by everyone trying their best and being supportive and encouraging of each other’s growth.

October’s THEME:

Spooky

THEME REQUIREMENTS: This month EVERY card must have a character and be anything spooky, horror, gothic, creepy, halloween etc.

Do you love horror and gothic everything!? Or is creepy cute more your thing? Spooky, eebie jeebies, creepy crawlies, spine chilling, deadly yet elegant beauty perhaps? Well then this is the month for you! Let loose the demon dogs and all things wicked, dark and dangerous! Anything Spooky goes, usually that means horror, gothic and downright creepy but if you like creepy cute then by all means do that! If your spooky is a beautiful vampire enchantress, or a seductive Dracula then chill me to the chore with that beauty. This is your interpretation of spooky!

This is not specifically a Halloween theme so you don’t have to make it look “halloweeny” but of course Halloween art is welcome as well. The reason the theme says “spooky” is because many of us also do other October art challenges around the web and the broad spooky theme makes it easier for you to still participate in #ATCitupwithfriends as well. This is always our most popular themed month.

DECEMBER’S THEME:

Winter

THEME REQUIREMENTS: Anything to show that it’s winter time

Your card should give that feeling of winter. Your art does not have to be holiday/Christmas themed but of course that is ok as well. Be sure to include a character of some kind and have fun! Remember, plain or empty backgrounds are discouraged, don’t just draw a huge object/head on the card with minimal effort – that is not acceptable.
