MAIL TO Host by: July 15th, 2022 (giving this a longer mail by date but please try to mail before the end of June)

Requirements: 3 or 4 hand drawn art cards – As always our normal standards apply of original 2.5 x 3.5 inch original hand drawn/colored/painted cards in your best efforts. I swap cards around based on composition, detail, and final execution. Empty backgrounds or people/objects with solid color for background, or head only cards are discouraged, please try for more. This community is made fabulous by everyone trying their best and being supportive and encouraging of each other’s growth.

May’s THEME:

Fae Folk & Fairies

This is open to all the fae / fey folks species you want to create, it does not have to be fairies. Fae Folk & Fairies just rolled off the tongue nicely when I made the theme title. So if you don’t want to draw fairies you don’t have to! If you want to draw elves, piskies, nixies, brownies, kobolds, etc, find whatever fae you want from folklore. Have fun and escape into their world! Or more like careful if you eat or drink anything they offer you …you might be trapped forever.  Please write the type of fae on the back of your card so whoever received it can look them up if they want.

All of your cards MUST contain a character of at least 1/2 to 3/4 of their body AND scene elements! This is NOT a draw their head and shoulders month. We should be seeing the character to at least their waist or part of their legs and come on some arms would be nice! Be bold, be brave! You must include the character and some of their scene elements. So no empty flat or solid color backgrounds with random accents. Give your card some depth. We want to see something that places the fae in their environment! You do not have to draw a full detailed scene if you don’t want, but don’t draw the bare minimum. We want the viewer to feel like they can see a a bit of that fae’s world right?
