Timeline and General info:

MAIL TO Host by: Mail by February 1st (sometimes mailing extensions are possible, message me)

Requirements: As always our normal standards apply of original 2.5 x 3.5 inch original hand drawn/colored/painted cards in your best efforts. I swap cards around based on composition, detail, and final execution. Empty backgrounds or people/objects with solid color for background, or head only cards are discouraged, please try for more. This community is made fabulous by everyone trying their best and being supportive and encouraging of each other’s growth.

January’s THEME:

Portals, Doors & Windows

Seems pretty obvious to me. You must incorporate one of those things some how into your card.

I encourage you include a character but it is not absolutely required.

Think about what is the purpose of your door/window/portal. What is around it? What can you see through it?

You must  give a FULL HONEST EFFORT. If you simple draw one big window as the card with nothing else and its basically just a rectangle and window/door/portal on the card without much detail and effort – your card will be sent back unswapped, the same goes if you just draw one big eye on a card! (How you could get away with it? Draw lots of what is see in the window, around it etc. If you did a huge eye that fills up the whole card, then we should be seeing some secret world on the inside of that eye. Those are acceptable lol).

We can all at this point draw “more than a window/door/portal” – the challenge is including this theme as a key part of your card and interpretation into your illustration. You can do it! This one should be lots of fun.

Please rise to the challenge and treat your fellow artists with respect by putting in your best efforts. If you are unwilling to put forth true effort then please do not apply to join!
